Kelenz ("we", "our" or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This privacy policy explains precisely what data we collect, how we use it and how we protect it when you use our mobile application (iOS and Android) or our website.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on your profile type (athlete, coach, club or fan), we collect the following personal information:
- Identity and profile: display name, email address, profile picture, biography, birth date, gender, height, weight, handedness and nationality
- Location: city and country of residence (approximate coordinates)
- Sports data: sport practiced, playing positions, jersey number, performance statistics, club affiliations and achievements
- Content and activity: photos and videos you post, messages exchanged, follows, likes, and your device's push notification token
- Subscription data (clubs only): subscription plan (Free, Pro or Premium), subscription status, billing period dates, Stripe customer ID and Stripe subscription ID. No payment information (credit card, bank details) is collected or stored by Kelenz
- Verification documents: if you request profile verification, we temporarily collect the supporting document you submit. This document is permanently deleted after processing (acceptance or rejection), with no further retention
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Create and manage your account, profile and settings
- Display your profile to other athletes, coaches, clubs and fans on the platform
- Send you push notifications for new messages, likes and new followers
- Improve the stability, performance and features of the application
- Process your media uploads (images, videos, avatars) via secure cloud storage
- Manage club subscriptions and process payments through our provider Stripe (no credit card data is processed or stored by Kelenz)
- Enable messaging and social features (follows, likes, shared content) between users
- Provide live chat customer support (via Crisp) to clubs with a paid subscription (Pro or Premium)
3. Data Storage and Security
Your personal data is securely stored on Supabase (database and authentication), your media files (avatars, images, videos) on Cloudflare R2, and payment information is processed and stored exclusively by Stripe in a PCI DSS compliant environment. JWT access tokens are stored locally on your device using secure storage (expo-secure-store). We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure or alteration.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. When your account is deleted — from within the app or upon request — all your personal data, posts and associated media are immediately and permanently deleted. Documents submitted as part of a profile verification request are automatically deleted after processing, regardless of your account status.
5. Cookies and Tracking
The mobile application does not use cookies and relies solely on local secure storage to maintain your authentication session. On the website, a language preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) is used to remember the language you have chosen; it contains no personal data and is valid for one year. The Crisp live chat service (available to clubs with a Pro or Premium subscription) may set cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the chat and to identify your conversation session. No advertising tracking technologies are used.
6. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. Your data is only shared with the technical service providers necessary to operate the platform: Supabase (database hosting and authentication), Cloudflare R2 (media file storage), Stripe (payment processing and subscription management), Expo's push notification service and Crisp (live chat for subscriber club support — club name, email address and conversation history). These providers act as data processors and are only authorized to use your data for the intended purposes.
7. Your Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights over your personal data: right of access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing and data portability.
